Size Guide

Suggested Sizing

As a general guide, a bodyboard should go to the rider's belly button. apart from that, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing the correct size board. Generally bigger boards are faster, but not as easy to control, and generally suited to smaller waves and beginners. On the other hand smaller boards are a bit harder to generate speed, however, have greater control and are ideal for bigger waves and more advanced riders.

As a guide, please refer to the table below. If you're a beginner, you are probably best suited to a size in which you fall in the lower end of the weight range. ie. 40kg beginner woudl be best suited to 38", not 36".

Board Size Weight Range
34" <30kg
36" 25-40kg
38" 35-50kg
40" 45-75kg
42" 65-95kg
44" 80-105kg

DAVIS BLACKWELL Template

This model uses Davis Blackwell's Signature all-rounder Template. This is designed for high performance riding in a variety of wave types. It uses a very similar curve to the Golden Child but can best best described as a touch straighter - its a little wider in the nose and a touch narrower overall with a lower nose to wide point

KINETIC PP CORE (1.9lb)

A lightweight core that is fusion formed, delivering incredible flex properties, including instant recoil, enhanced longitudinal stiffness and awesome compression strength. It is also 100% Waterproof, ensuring it stays nice and light throughout your boards life. Ideal for anyone in mid to warm climates, and extremely durable for those who surf a lot!

STRINGER & MESH

The PP/ Stringer / Mesh combo is the most common construction style used by our team riders. These work together to provide stiffness & recoil both longitudinally and laterally, whilst also increasing durability.

SURLYN SLICK

The slick Pro Bodyboarders demand ! Finest grade authentic Dupont Surlyn™ slick skin. Surlyn™ exhibits rubber-like properties for superior projection. It is designed so as that it has minimal impact on the flex properties of the core.

PE DeckSKIN

The preferred Deck Skin of our Pro Riders as it has less effect on natural flex of the core. Also provides a little more grip than IXL Deckskin.

CrESCENT TAIL

The most popular bodyboard tail. The clipped crescent tail provides the perfect mix of hold, drive and responsiveness when you need it, in all types of conditions

CNC GRADUATED CHANNELS

These channels are constructed using an AKU Shaper Machine. This is the same machine used to create subtle concaves on surfboards, allowing millimetre perfect results.

They are positioned as close to the rail as possible and lightly graduated to give the rider the perfect balance of hold on the face, release when you need it, and speed!

55/45 DOUBLE RAILS

The Double rails enhances both the stiffness and durability of the board while the 55/45 Rail shape allows a touch more rail to be in the water, allowing for greater control.

DECK CONTOURS

Davis rides a full Deck Contour witth Slick grips to ensure coomfortable grip wth both you nose and rail hands.

Wingass Kinetic

Super stoked with my new sled from Stealth! It arrived super quickly with good communication throughout the purchase / shipping process.
In the water the Polypro kinetic core has been awesome for our Taranaki summer / autumn water temps - super fast, stiff but compliant when needed. I actually prefer the template over my Golden Child model.
I'll be purchasing your PE Tension Tech for the winter water.
Thank you guys :-)
