EPS is an extra lightweight core offering great flotation making it perfect for beginner riders. It is 100% Waterproof and ideal for all climates.
2 Fibreglass rods inserted into the core of the board. This greatly increases strength and stops boards from snapping, ensuring your board will last a lot longer.
This a high density, closed cell thermoplastic found on the bottom of the board. It increases performance, while also greatly increasing durability by protecting the core of the board.
This board features a thermal-formed deck contour. This increases rider comfort and helps your arms maintain a good grip on the bodyboard.
IXLPE is a crosslinked polyethylene foam creating a very smooth deck. It is the stiffest, most durable decksing but protects against rash and abrasion.
The most popular bodyboard tail. The clipped crescent tail provides the perfect mix of hold, drive and responsiveness when you need it, in all types of conditions
These are contours found on the slick side of the board, near the tail and close to the rails. They are designed to give you rail control and making the board less likely to side-slip.
50/50 Double Rails
The two IXLPE Rails provide extra strength, while the 50/50 construction leaves a touch less rail in the water providing the perfect mix of control and speed for most conditions.
This model comes Pre-Plugged with nylon tether. For more serious use, we suggest upgrading to Basic Wrist or Basic Bicep Leash.
As a general guide, a bodyboard should go to the rider's belly button. apart from that, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing the correct size board. Generally bigger boards are faster, but not as easy to control, and generally suited to smaller waves and beginners. On the other hand smaller boards are a bit harder to generate speed, however, have greater control and are ideal for bigger waves and more advanced riders.
As a guide, please refer to the table below. If you're a beginner, you are probably best suited to a size in which you fall in the lower end of the weight range. ie. 40kg beginner woudl be best suited to 38", not 36".
Great board - my son loves it!
Fantastic quality body board, has already been catching lots of waves! Great value bundle and arrived super fast! We love it!
I recently purchased a Silencer Bodyboard, flippers and carry bag from Stealth Bodyboards for my adult son for Christmas. Even though he hasn't used it yet, I can see the superior quality in the bodyboard, flippers and even carry bag. The customer service was phenomenal and delivery was next day! So amazed and blown away by the whole purchase experience at Stealth Bodyboards. I can thoroughly recommend using this company for all your surfing needs and if you're not sure which one will suit you - because they have an extensive range - they will share their experience and skills so you purchase the one suitable for your needs.
I've had a few outings on my new silencer board. Sometimes a head high dumpy close-out, sometimes a fast peeling waist-chest high. It's fast enough for the latter, and tough enough for heavy landings with the former. I've been bodyboarding for over 10 years, but still time is required to click with a new board. So i expect to have plenty of fun with each "click".
I reckon that if you're beyond entry level, and want to try a different template or size, but don't want to spend a fortune, then this affordable board is well worth a shot ... and who knows it could become your favourite!
Thanks Stealth, nice board, nice service, and tomorrow the forecast looks good for my local break :)
